Orleans, Cape Cod, MA — On Wednesday, August 13 from 5:00 to 7:00, the Addison Art Gallery will hold a Celebratory Reception for the extended run of Enduring Inspiration, the joint exhibition with the Provincetown Art Association and Museum (PAAM) that has wowed collectors. Raising money for PAAM, the exhibition offers the opportunity for people to own a piece of art colony history, brings awareness to our fertile history and the importance of PAAM in preserving our heritage, and honors the creativity and inspiration of today.
Artists and Christine McCarthy, Chief Executive Officer of PAAM, will be on hand to discuss the work and offer insights. Additional works have been added to the exhibition in response to so many pieces now in collectors’ homes. Guests will also be treated to the song stylings of Cape Cod favorite Sarah Burrill.
The contemporary artists featured in the show include Steve Bowersock, Marc Kundmann, Jonathan McPhillips and Paul Schulenburg. Curated by McCarthy, excellent work by deceased artists LaForce Bailey, William Freed, Lillian Orlowsky and Nancy Webb is also included offering an opportunity to own a piece of art from art colony history.
